Almost lost $850 plus tax, and shipping. Bought a Model 70 Featherwight 30-06 at the buy now price. Looking through Guns International, and saw the same gun. Perry County Fire arms being the seller. I called them up to verify, and sadly it was the same gun. They even used the same pictures! The crook even called me. He had a foreign accent, and tried to say He was legit! Be very careful on Gun Broker.

A couple months ago I saw a GB ad with a gun I had been watching on GI for months.

I could not report it to GB as I am not a seller and could not find out how to. I did call the GI seller and let them know. They were very unhappy and they knew how to report it through there account.

Seems most of these ads are buy it now as to quickly seal a deal.
The scammer was a member for years and had plenty of feedback. BUT the feedback could not be accessed.

How to report a scam on Gun Broker

If a seller on GB has really low feedback (All buyer) or no feedback at all I would steer clear. In fact I only pulled the trigger once in such a case of no feedback. However the seller name was their business name and I was able to verify their FFL. The city of the FFL matched the city in the listing. It was a model 14-2 Hanen and the listing expired on a Sunday within a few hours of my seeing it. Fortunately I was able to talk to him by phone and I did get it. But I see too many suspicious listings and we all need to be very alert. I meant to add this also, if there are different photo backgrounds for several different guns...to me thats a possible indicator its fraud.

I try to throw something with a business logo in all of my listing photos, in a way that is hard to just crop it out.

It's harder to verify a private seller, and everyone has to start their account somewhere. But most of the non paying bidders I have encountered are no feedback bidders.

This is the kind of stuff that we honest people should be able to report to some FBI Department or something to, at the very least, get that person's location and then they mess up the scammer's ability to do anything online.
Yeah, I'm living in a dream world, but the reality is I guess there are not enough resources to do that. Sure, my bank rejects transactions until I tell them it is me, but if it's not me then I have to wait ten or so days to get a new card. Then redo all my automatic payments, etc., new passwords, and new curse words. I won't use GB for anything because of this *******! Never had an issue with anything on S&W Forum classified.
