Show was kind of a bust but I think I did ok on this one.

I know they started in 82'? Date it please.

Looks all original. Combat hammer/trigger. Speed loader stocks.

hardly shot.

Had these Pachmayr Grippers laying around. They are really comfortable in the hand and don't look too bad on SS pistols.

Many police carried the model 66. Some departments were afraid officers would use 357 instead of the required 38s. They usually carried 67s instead. My dept forbid stainless guns. I carried a blue Python. When the policy changed I could not afford the Python in stainless. So I carried a 66 for awhile. I tried a 686 but found it too heavy. I now own both.

Congrats on coming home with that sharp 66-2! IMO, the 4" 66s are the most versatile and sharpest looking models. Hope to hear how it shoots...
 
Congratulation on your acquisition. I bought a brand new 66–3 in 1988, still have it
