Went to the gun show today at the Lewisville Event Center. It used to be a Best Buy store. But hey, makes for a nice small show that's close to home.
I dragged around a couple of goodies to sell. One was a 1917 .45 acp Brazilian contract gun that shipped in '38.
It is in pretty 'fair' condition for it's history. Barrel numbers to the gun. Isn't that pretty good?
I was asking $400.00 for it.
The other one was a very nice pencil barreled Model 64 no dash. It was looked at a lot. No takers. I had it in the box for four hundred and I went home with it.
Anyway, the show was advertised at four hundred tables. Probably were. It go real crowded and it just seemed like a nice day for a gun show.
Not much interested me. Didn't see anything that called out my name.
I did offer to trade my Brazilian contract for a pre war Outdoorsman. It was in pretty rough shape. About as rough as my 1917. The guy wanted to trade the Outdoorsman for my Model 64 no dash. I said I wasn't about to take two clunkers back home with me. So, no gun deal there.
Once again I missed seeing Bob at the show. He must have seen me coming.
Funny thing, I sold my 1946 M&P last week to a guy at the show in Mesquite for four hundred and twenty five dollars. I saw it today at the show for $550.00 Good luck with that.
Five weekends this year, five shows.
Big show next weekend in Fort Worth. Gonna try and head that way.
