Wish I could, Alaska's Capitol is on an island. Costs too much for plane tickets for Alaskans to go there to assemble.
 
I love this idea in concept. I would love for the eye to be on masses of Americans standing up for their rights. But I am fearful that if these marches are successful in assembling we are going to have gun control activists or even a pro-gun a-whole pull a stunt that could put a bad cast on the whole effort. I don't see any scenario where the media would spin it any other way than "See, that one guy represents that whole group".

I hope not. I hope that if people do show up for these, it's successful.

I have some of your same concerns, however, I think the time for us to worry about those things have passed.
We need to stand up for our rights before they are gone.

I think our biggest problem is fellow gun owners who dismiss these efforts because of statements like "I don't have one of the guns that will be banned". This time it will effect everyone. They are not just talking about an AWB. They are talking about ending private sales, increased background checks, waiting periods (for all guns), and even background checks for ammo! Those are just a few.

Another politico revenue enhancement program will be
attempted along with everything else.
 
After the Honorable (?) VP Biden makes his recommendations next Tuesday, they may be a lot of gun owners who want to go to their State Capital to be counted.
 
We have a gun show the 19th and 20th in the city of our state capitol. How convenient :)
 
How about a million man march in Washington AGAINST gun control...I know it has been recommended here in the past, but flood the Washington Mall with a million or more pro gun (not just NRA) people and see what happens.

All political walks of life are encouraged to speak out. This is a pro-gun movement.

I live in IL-ANNOY (Illinois). I will be attending in Madison, Wisconsin. It is much closer.
 
I plan to go stand with my father in front of our local ffl with signs in support. We might end up at the Capitol, we will see what happens.
