Guns that you bought, but kinda forgot to tell your significant other about.

Well lets just say that "DO WHAT EVER THE HELL YOU WANT" don't mean near about what used to! She once got mad when I wanted an AR-15, and said that to me. Being a man and all I took that statement at face value and went ahead and purchased the gun. Boy she was ticked! Since then I pretty much discuss all gun purchases with her ahead of time. Unless it is such a great deal that I can't pass it up to clear it with her first. I will let her know immediately. I suppose I am pretty lucky because she will usually green light the purchase because she appreciates the respect of consulting her first. She purchased one without telling me once though! It was a 1911 she got me for my B-day!!! Oh yeah she's bought me a gun, she can cook, and she's super HOT!!!!! LUCKY ME!

My wife stopped being mad at me and started looking down and away. No eye contact sucks. I made a deal with her I would split my stash with her when ever I put some back. What a mistake that was. We added a covered deck on to the house not only did she drain her stash but she also drained mine and my emergency money. She said well we have to have shingles on it. I was content with a uncovered deck and wanted to wait til the money was right to just pay for it but when she said you could sell some of those guns and we could build another house the guilt was unbearable. I didn't remember at the time I had tied flies, over time, and odd jobbed to get all those guns. I keep the amount of my stash to myself now if it's an emergency then I will dig in it like $200 worth of school pictures. forgiveness is easier than permission. Doeboy

Last gun I bought, I told my wife about this beautiful Ruger Royal Phoenix .357 magnum. Her comment "...do you need any money?"

Yep, she's a keeper for more than one reason.

I went to buy a Kahr .380. Somehow my brain had a major malfunction and bought an H&K USP .45. Damn brain.

One of my first threads was "Dealing with the Wife after a gun show", I think in January. For those who missed it I told about the time I went to a show with about $700 cash and spent about half of it. When I got home she gave me the Hairy Eyeball and said "how much did you spend?" I never answered. I reached into my pocket, pulled out three crisp hundred dollar bills and said "here, this is for you". Eyes alight she took it and never asked another word. Try it, it works. The Missus has NO idea what I have. However she knows it's worth about double what I paid for it. I sleep with one eye open let me tell ya.

After being married to 3 women, buying, trading & selling guns for over 50 years I've come to the decision that there is no one perfect way to hide a gun from your spouse. Any of you guys have a better idea??

Gun Safe. Then "forget" the combination.

Not sure how long you been married but I assure you that your wife spends more than you on something or someone but you never know about it.

I have been married way too many times and know way too many women well. Those that do not work will put money back as they can, even if it is $10 at a time. This is why men never get change back. Women buy things men do not know what the things are and women buy expensive stuff all year round.

The current lady here whose sole purpose in life is to delete my bank account and make my life miserable will buy flowers in amounts that makes new guns seem cheap. Her last order was over $1,000 and the flowers will die after this summer.
