I always like hearing about what everyone see's or buys from the local gunshow in your area. This shouldn't be a rip the gunshow's but more of a look what I found (or didn't find ) or you sold ,traded, bought a gun and now your happy, happy, happy.

So maybe we can keep a weekend to weekend thread going.
My last gun show I sold off a 4516 for 600 lnib only because I am going to 9mm,or less calibers. Not much else there to see.I might make the melbourne show this weekend and will chime back in.

I never buy guns at gunshows, mostly reloading stuff. best score ever was when there was a table where the friend of a deceased reloader was selling off his stuff. I had to make two trips out to the car to get it all out there. it pays to show up early for shows

I was at a small gun show in Big Timber Montana this weekend. Picked up some 45-70 and .38 Spec. ammo. Saw some nice looking smiths but funds are a bit low right now..

I went to the local Texarkana show last weekend, and got a couple of surprises. First, no crowd on Saturday morning. Second, I found some ammo at reasonable prices, CCI .22 standard velocity at $9 for 100, PMC .45ACP 230 ball at $24 for 50. Some still had the high prices on their ammo, but they weren't selling much. I could have bought an excellent old .357 Trooper with original grips for 500 or a little more, but I've got one already.

I used to go to gun shows 35 years ago in PA and got good deals and did well selling and trading. Here in Asheville, it seems like every seller is trying for a home run. I did pass on a good registered magnum with letter that might have sold $2-400 higher on GB.com.

Last Gun Show I went to was a small rural show maybe 40 tables.

I arranged to meet a couple buddies there. One showed up with a very desireable S&W to sell. I told him I'd give him $25.00 over the highest offer any dealer made.

Of course they all tried to steal it and I took it home for a song after transfer.:D We're still friends.

sometimes my gun shop friends will let me have a table at the shows, gives me a chance to move a few extras,i always have a good time and if I sell a gun the buyer is always happy,i think I sell some very cool smiths to low,oh well such is life.

That's the old NYPD police woman's service revolver. My grandmother still has her's

Last 2 gun shows were a bust. Never got a thing. But a buddy has a real nice S&W 22-32 Kit gun, about 95% condition. Has a 6 " bbl which I've never seen before. Most are 2" & 4". It dates to 1953 or so. Wants $450. I'm thinking........

That is a fair price for a nice 22/32 Kit Gun. If you don't want it PM me his info and I'll contact him. :)

Best deals I've made at a gun show?

As a dealer, before I gave up the FFL (All at gun shows):

1) Desert Eagle 50 Cal, 8 20 round boxes of Samson 50 AE Ammo (Minus 6 rounds), factory box, paperwork, D/E factory holster and belt, 6 factory mags and receipt from the shop he had purchased it all from less than 6 weeks prior. All bought for $600. His price, not mine.

2) Winchester Model 21 12 ga. I had gone out to the parking lot to get something... Ran into a "Stoner" that had the Win M21 that his grandfather had left him. Gun was a field grade with factory upgrade of the wood. Got it for $500, his selling price was $300. He needed money to go on Spring break in Destin. Turned it the same day for $4000.

3) S&W M&P (Pre M10 C363XXX). Got it for $20. It was butt ugly. All the bluing had turned brown or rusted but the cyl and bore were pristine. I sprayed on one of the "Easy Bake Oven" finishes and sold it a few weeks later for $200.

4) Darne Model R15 20 ga. Show security could not get it open so they paged me over the PA system as the head of security knew I had a Darne on my table. After I got it open we discovered both chambers loaded with "BP Poppers". I gave $2400 and sold it about 6 months later for $5500.

As a NON FFL:

A couple of months ago I bought a 1006 and 1076 plus 11 mags for $900. Bought from one individual at a gun show.

November of last year I bought a Marlin 1894 "Microgroove" 44 Mag/Spcl (1982 Model, JM Stamped barrel) with Bushnell "TV" view 3-9 x 32 scope for $300

October 2010: Remington 870 Express Synthetic 28", sans barrel. Bought for $50. Some Id-jit (Seller) slipped in the mud and packed the barrel full for the top 3" or so of the barrel. Tried to shoot the mud out of the barrel, that didn't work out. He ruptured the barrel about 16" down the tube. I ended up buying a used barrel from a friend for $50. I still use it as a back-up gun for duck hunting. Best $100 investment I've made in a long time.

I had been looking for a K22 for some time when I saw this at my lgs. I'd rather shoot with iron sights and went through as many internet sites as I could find trying to locate the proper part without success. I walked through the door at a gun show and right in front of me was a banner over a table that said, "gun sights". It was meant to be I guess. I still have the aimpoint in bubble wrap in case I change my mind.
