Gushing over the new Glock?

Pretty much with any gun. I can't tell my two 66s apart or my two 36s. All my Glocks look the same as well as both my HK USP. All my 3rd gen S&W look the same too! Hard to get excited about any of them. Seen one, seen them all.

No interest in a single stack Glock or single stack anything really but I can see how they will sell

Unless your sporting rubber on those 66's each pair of wood stocks should have individual character .Something that is missing from the cookie cutter poly guns of today.Years ago a shooter could pick his gun from a table full of identicle models.

Wood is wood. Both of my look the same.

I've already read on other forums of people exited to get this new offering from glock. I don't understand it as i see it as late to the game and a good chance of needing a couple "upgrades" to get them running right.
I hear what you say, I pretty much said the same about their .380.
I've since changed my mind. Whether I like them or not, more choices are always a good thing.

Well, the Glock bashers took the bait. I won't be needing one of these 43s. My Gen 2 Glock 19 awaits the unthinkable in my night stand. Aesthetically pleasing? No. Accurate, rugged, and absolutely reliable? Yes.

I have a 2nd gen Glock 17 that I bought over 20 years ago. The night sights are double dead but it was like $329 factory reconditioned so I figured I'd get new Trijicons at some point, which I haven't. I have owned others but none have improved on the original. The 19 is slightly better and I almost bought a 3rd gen at Saturday's O-Show @$499 brand new. Almost. Joe

Not sure the guys are bashing. But after the introduction of a ground breaking polymer non-pocket .380, maybe the guys are just a little disappointed that Glock isn't revealing something equally useful like a double stack .380.

Who knows? Is it possible that Glock might be making a "slimline" that's actually slim?

Look the same...really? Is that a trick comment?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but one looks like a square butt, and the other looks like a round butt.

No that's a straight forward answer. Gun is the same. Same model, barrel length, caliber, finish, so one has a slightly curved grip. No different then changing back straps in a Glock. Still the same gun

The problem was that that model was ment to be a 9 but they couldn't get it function properly with 9mm. Had something to do with slide weight or speed....I forget. Anyway, turned out that it worked in 380

Cool.

My Glock 17 has been having some cycling issues. I'll try some Hornady .380 and see how it works.

I'll have to hold it or see pictures of it in shooter's hands before I reserve judgement. That being said, if it held 8 rounds, I'd be SLIGHTLY interested. Honestly, if I wanted a single stack 9, I'd get a Ruger LC9S Pro.

My Glock 30S is my primary EDC gun and fits me perfectly. If I needed something slightly smaller (and I never had that problem since owning the G30S since July 2014), I have a Ruger SR9C. And in the rare event I can only pocket carry, I have a Ruger LCP.

The Glock 43 looks interesting, but I have no overriding need to go buy one. I'll let the early adopters Alpha Test the production pistols over the next year to find all the problems. I was a Glock Gen4 9mm early adopter, and I got burned. I'm not doing that again.
