Of course not - if I was illegal, I'd hide from the Census for sure!
Border Patrol and Coast Guard have 50-70 thousand contacts with Haitians trying cross into the U.S. annually. Those are the ones they catch.

Very simple, to come to the US one must sign up. Learn English, take US culture classes, have a sponsor that is required to appear with the immigrate in front of a immigration judge Every Year until the immigrant has “ become” assimilated to US culture and Have A Job.

The politicians and citizens all complain about the illegals. While I will jump right in on loading up the criminals and the freeloaders. It ain't all that simple or easy.
I do believe we need some of them, our agriculture, meat packing and food industry uses an estimated million plus, then there are those in the hotel, restaurant, construction and landscaping business. There are an estimated total of 7 million WORKING ILLEGALS. Don't fool yourself into believing we don't need them. When a job where the average wage is around $40 an hour is short 10% of the needed personnel, don't tell me you can fill all those $12-$20 an hour with citizens. The doors at every store and restaurant already have help wanted signs on them. If you think its because of welfare you also need to get a clue.
As of June 2022, the number of people on welfare stood at 65.7 million. This included 47.9 million retired workers along with 2.8 million of their family members, 7.8 million disabled workers and 1.3 million of their dependents, and 5.9 million survivors of deceased workers. Maybe, just maybe there are 4 million working age able bodied in those numbers.
NEW FLASH My SOCIAL SECURITY ISN'T ******* WELFARE. I PAID FOR IT MY WHOLE LIFE. You can debate SOME of the disabled and the ADULT dependents. Not the kids or the actual disabled.
But, if you think that if we get rid of all the illegals the ghettos and homeless and all the 20-40 year olds occupying mom and dad's couches are all going to empty out do do all the work illegals are doing your delusional. Your also disillusion if you think the economy and inflation will go away if we get rid of the working immigrants. A whole pile of them will simply resort to more crime. Lock em up. LMAO, iT cost a lot more to lock them up, first of all we would need to built a whole lot more prisons because the ones we have are already overflowing and it cost an average of $45,000 a year to keep someone locked up IF YOU HAVE THE PRISON SPACE. We are number #1 BUT only in the percentage of citizens in prison, on anti depressants, and in counseling. LMAO
I GOT AN IDEA, FIX THE IMMIGRATION SYSTEM INSTEAD OF PLAYING POLITICAL FOOTBALL WITH IT. Make it possible for employers to SPONSOR immigrants. No job, quit showing up, commit a crime. BYE BYE. Work, keep your nose clean, pay your bills and taxes, become a citizen. It actually worked during the time America became great. How do you think a lot of our parents got here? The president elect's wife and his very own own mother were migrants.

Those requirements Used to be standard for those wanting to become citizens. Aclu may just find out “ whats what” sooner than later?
Those here that have a job are fine, just get a green card and learn ENGLISH. the millions that are leeching off tax payers have to go, upright or flat.

Post Brexit in the UK, many of the low-end workers returned to the EU. Now, the UK has terrible trouble getting anything done that involves getting dirty...and those workers were LEGAL!!!
As for our immigration system, there was a proposal a while back that looked pretty good to me, but it fell to dogma from both sides of the aisle.
