On halloween day 10/31/64 I soloed a 1946 Luscombe 8 A N1455K. I was 24 years old and achieved something I had dreamed about since I was big enough to look up at airplanes going by. I can tell you when you look over at the right seat and there is no instructor, you realize its all on you, your on your own, I got it down O K but it makes you feel careful. I went on and got my Private pilots license on 3/19/66. I flew for the Civil Air Patrol for a few years in the 70's. The early 60's and 70's were the best time for flying as nowadays I dont think many folks like me could do it. Jeff
