Handloads for the Airweight Snub

+1 c/o post #39.....
"Kentucky Windage" is the only way to fly with fixed sights.

However finding a load that shots to POA is so very SWEET !!

A lot depends on the bullet weight, velocity and if you use a
light grip or a "Bear Hug" !!

95% of my shooting is with target loads but I do have a
golf glove for the hotter loads, if need be, that I use for shooting trap.

I have been trying to come up with some practice loads for my 442 Airweight, my first trip to the range consisted of two hundred 158 gr lswchp with 3.5 gr of bullseye with and OAL of 1.455. I also shot 20 125gr golden sabers + p (my defensive load choice). Though I enjoy shooting, and the 442 is one of my favorite guns to shoot, my hand seems to disagree. After 220 rounds, I could see swelling developing at the web of my hand.

Edited to clear out some of the info.

Well lets see? 220 rounds in one outing from a airweight snub. Yes, My hand would hurt also.:D That's not practice that's torture for you and the gun.

So it turns out, something is wrong with the gun. I finally got frustrated enough Nd sent back to S&W for repair. They wouldn't say what was wrong with it but they are sending out a new gun.

Oh well...

I am glad you got it fixed.
