Today is Abbie's 7th birthday and I am asking every one who reads this to send her a birthday card. Maybe when she comes to and can remember things she will realize just how many folks have been in her corner from the beginning.
She has no memory of anything that happened from Thanksgiving until well after Christmas, but maybe she will be able to wake up and remember her birthday, even if it is not the correct day.

When we all know that she is out of the woods and on the recovery path we can think about a present.
Tell the guys I sincerely appreciate the thought, but she can't have anything in isolation as yet. And it will be a few days before she is awake.
