It looks like “Tread”, the documentary, is still on Netflix. A fantastic tale…
This incident wasn't the only such civil unrest here in Colorado. In 1998 in the little mountain town of Alma, CO. population of 150, a malcontent shot the mayor then used a front-end loader to destroy the water plant. Not satisfied with his performance, he stole some other equipment and rammed the fire department and several other local government buildings. The only conclusion I can come up with is the lack of oxygen at higher elevation may just have some effect on sanity. I should know as I live nearby at 9,000' elevation.
If you knew the story behind "Killdozer," you know how some petty local bureaucrats pushed a working man beyond his limits.
I must be most sane. My house is less than 30' above sea level.
When you live up so high you have a few advantages others don't have. We get the breath the air first and drink the water first. About everything is downhill.

We get a break here in CO only a 3 day waiting period. But if you are over 8,000 ft elevation, a full background check + a training certification is required starting Aug. of 2026
