Happy Nurses week?
I'm waiting for Grumpy Nurses Week.

They are truly the NCOs of the medical community. They spend their lives studying the medical sciences for the betterment of others.

Bless them all. If you run into one this week tell them thank you.

Forgive my unabashed bias.
Your kudo's is well deserved by these angels in disguise. For some stupid reason I've spent about the last 7 -8 years getting to know too many of them. Meet more than one heaven-sent Dr. as well . . . . .

A tribute to my late Aunt Gail, a school nurse and on her own time an athletic trainer at high school football games. She was inducted into the county sports hall of fame for starting up a program for developing athletic trainers for the school system.

Have spent most of my life with one. She has been a professor of pediatric Nursing at three different universities, Retired in 2006, she had enough of college politics.

Mom was a maternity nurse when I was born. As I got older and my sister showed up she transferred over to medical transcription. Eventually she and Dad started their antique glassware business and the medical side of the profession went away. Near the end she was a Master Naturalist and a Master Gardner who turned our yard into a certified Monarch Butterfly Waystation. The jungle that is left now that she is gone still supports hordes of pollinators.

Thanks for the thoughts. I was an RN for 34 years. Worked mostly in the O.R. but also had ICU and ER experience and was a USAF Flight Nurse for 8 years. If that sailor in post #4 tried that with me, he'd need medical care for sure. :p

I drew the line at wearing a dress and that stupid cap, but I did wear whites for several years before they became passe'.

Bless 'em? Heck...I married one! She's a helluva girl.

I owe my life to Calvin, Mo, and Krysti. Still think of them and smile. May the LORD bless all the nurses.
