Hello everybody, nice to find this S&W Forum.
Thanks to the provider of it and for the thorough introduction to the rules here. Sounds like my kind of place.
I'm about 60 and have had quite a few S&W firearms through the years since I came back from the war in 1972. I was a Marine rifleman, thus my user name.
Most of my S&Ws went with my weedeater and lawnmower to my first ex. The rest I passed on to my sons. For example: one received my beloved Model 1917 in its El Paso Saddlery Military shoulder holster with their custom made double pouch for 12 rounds in moon clips (they said it was their first).
I kept my Model 38 Bodyguard of 31 years until it was stolen in a burglary not long ago.
I thought it would just be my S& W Model 38, Winchester Model 12 and S&W Model 66 till the end of my days. But after they were stolen I decided to start over and build another battery including Smith & Wessons for my pleasure and to pass on to my youngest son by my second-ex. I trained her with a S&W 640 and gave it to her before the divorce. I'm glad she has it.
Well, guess that introduces me enough in light of the reason I joined. I'm not up to date on Smith & Wesson. I'm about 15 years behind. So, I'll be searching and reading more than talking I suspect. Though I like talking about S&Ws.
