I just started shooting regularly a couple months ago so I'm no expect. But I added a M&P 9mm c.o.r.e to my family and my first time at the range very happy with it. Its only at 21ft. but that's good for me. I also have a Sig p320 and I do like how the S&W feels in the hand. Trigger was fine for me.

I would like to add a optic to it. Can some members give me some idea's on what brand they are using and why?

Thanks
Jim

Trijicon RMR. It's durable and the base is the right height so the OEM CORE sights cowitness in the lower 1/3 of the glass.

Based upon everything I have read about and studied, Trijicon RMR is as good as it gets at $600. However I have 2 Burris Fastfire ll. The reason was cost ($179) and the fact that they will co-witness, are well built, and will do everything I need to do. The downside is that they are a pain in the a** to adjust. They have to be removed every time and, if you like to fine tune, you will hate it. No clicking adjustment dials, just adjustment screws. Once you have them adjusted, they are fine performers. Never the less, I would do it diferently if I had the money to throw down.

I have a vortex venom on mine and love it. You can buy 3 of them for the price of a Trijicon. They have a lifetime warranty and adjusting them is a snap. Bright clear glass with an auto adjusting dot. Only drawback is they barely cowitness, but they still do. I have run about 500 rounds through my 40 core without any issue.

I use a Burris FF3 on my Glock 17. Battery access is on top now, and adjustments are very easy and accessible as well. Also under $200.00.

i use the Leupold Deltapoint on my 9mm core and couldn't be happier. if you consider this sight though, you need the original deltapoint, as the new deltapoint pro doesn't fit on the core...

And unfortunately, good luck finding one. I know... I looked.

I have a trijicon RMR on my CORE, but have used the Burris FF II and III on other guns with no complaints. I bought my CORE used with the RMR; doubt I ever would have ponied up to buy a new one.

I am very pleased with the Trijicon RM07 that I have on my M&P 9 CORE. I've fired about 1,500 rounds with zero issues. I also have been impressed with the Vortex Razor. I recently mounted one on a S&W 686+, my buddy has put about 2,000 rounds through his GP 100 with a Razor mounted.

Thanks, To all. I just order a Burris Fastfire III . Now the only problem is I have to wait to get it. I'm to cheap to pay for over night shipping.
