Harrassing Phone Calls

There's some sort of scam going around with Indian(Ghandi, not Geronimo)callers. They start out trying to verify information. The last few to call me didn't even have the right name. It doesn't matter.

I launch into "dirka, dirka dirka" every time the poor guy tries to get a word in edgewise. Several times, it has lasted for several minutes. When I get around to asking "what color underwear are you wearing"? That usually ends it. My wife thinks I'm nuts.

I reply "Hey, they called me".

I'm pretty sure there's a way to simply block that number from ringing through (like *69 etc.). It's probably listed in the phone book (the real phone book!). Good luck!

Some of those guy's are on a network. I have *69 and it would never block some creditors/ phone salespeople

I taught some of those India callers some new (to them) cusswords last year. They started calling me everyday at the same time & yelling the newest cussword I taught right back at me. After a week it wasn't funny anymore. I hit *57 on the phone & eventually got hooked into International Call Trace. By that time 10 days had elapsed and my tormentors had already tired of the game & quit calling. It was nice to find that a system was in place for out of the country harrassing calls. Just took too long to get it implemented
