I will have to see it, I am watching Shadow Man with him today. I like Micheal Caine movies. Especially when he played Harry Palmer the spy.

Looks good

A superb actor, in what looks to be a 'tribute' to the "Death Wish" series...so I'm definitely gonna see it. Michael Caine is always superb -- and I like the fact that he's using his genuine dialect in the film.

Sir Maurice Mickelwhite is one of my favorite actors. He never legally changed his name and uses his real name in his private life. In fact, when he came up on the Queen's list on 2000, it was as Maurice. Great actor although it seems he's been in every movie since 1966. "The Man Who Would Be King" is one of my favorites.

+1. Sure does resemble Death Wish.

Since I'm a stay at home nowadays I put that movie on my saved list at Netflx. Never paid much attention to Michael Caine until the movie Second
Hand Lions. Liked it so well I bought the DVD.:)

I first saw him playing the foppish lieutenant of Welsh Rifles in Zulu O' so many years ago. What movie and what a performance. He brought a certain honesty to any part he played in......Second hand Lions...Was un appreciated but what a story line and what acting by he and Robert Duval. Both real actors not just celebs.....I will have to see Harry Brown!!!

I'm a crazy Zulu fan. It's pretty much my favorite movie. You have to sing along with Men of Harlech.

Dwight

He was in town for awhile during the filming of "On Deadly Ground" (I think it won at least 20 Academy Awards). He was a great guy and hung out at the local bars with the common folks. He acted like a normal person unlike some of the others involved in the movie. We enjoyed his stay.

It took Zulu many years to be released on then VHS due to Caine's growing popularity and fame. In fact the sequel was released years before you could get ZULU. What a movie I also have it on DVD and watch it at least 3 times a year, and what a cast. Stanley Baker who produced and was to be the main star became overshadowed or upstaged by Caine. Jack Hawkins was a famous actor in his own right and agreed to play a demeaning part. No small feat getting Richard Burton to narrate it. I rate it right up there with Lawrence of Arabia.
