Has anyone bought from "Yankee Artifacts"?

Yes, a few years back, I purchased a 4506-1 from them.

The gun arrived three days later than promised, and my credit card was charged well over a hundred dollars more than the agreed upon price.

I called and had a chat, and was cheerfully refunded the disputed amount. I did sour me on buying anything else from them. Good luck! Regards 18DAI.

My daughter bought a 4" M64 from them about a year ago. Forget the price but it was quite reasonable and the gun turned out to be quite nice. She was happy with it and after looking at it I thought she did well.

They had a .45 ACP MG on there a while back at a fair price--I was tempted but left it there.

Some of their bargain stuff is interesting but after shipping and transfer fees the "bargain" aspect isn't there any more. They had a very good price on a decent Ruger 10/22 recently.

I check them out periodically to see what's there.

Yes, I have bought from them and was very pleased. No problems. I like the fact that when I called they went and got the gun and described its condition to me. When I recieved the gun it was in even better than they had described. I certainly would buy from them again.

I certainly can't say much about their grading methods. They have a 1917 45 which they say is 80%, but the photo's don't show anything more than about 50% if that much for $675.

Also a moidel 37 which is about the same and they grade it 85%. "RIDICULOUS".

Thanks gents.......as it turns out, the revolver was mismarked. It was marked as a "K18", .38 special. I was hoping it was a model 18 and they had the caliber wrong. Unfortunately, they had the caliber right and the model number wrong.
