Has anyone else found the Troy .308 rail a little loose?

Problem resolved see below.

The height is close but not exact. However, the rail can move from side to side a bit unlike any rail I've put on an AR-15.

Anyone else have this issue?

Mine is solid as a rock
(TRX extreme 12")
but then again I am not an operator kicking in doors in some 3rd world sand box (or an ARFCOM'r)

Same here, rock solid. Mine is the longer one though. 13.5" if I recall correctly. My son installed it, and said it was easy. Used a torque wrench and had to take it tighter than he wanted to make it work though.

MP-10 Handguard

Mike,
It may be you have the wrong type of handguard, the MP-10 uses a DPMS style lo-profile. I built mine recently here is a repsonse from the S/W Rep on AR-15.com

Yes the Troy MRF-308 will work, you just need to make sure you specify (DPMS- lo profile) BUT, last I heard from Troy they may NOT be offering the MRF in lo and high profile any longer, just high-profile. I would check with them to verfiy. They are still listed on the website.

These are what you would want.

I am not sure when the rifle cases will be available. I'll try to find out and post. Thanks! S&W

I have the correct DPMS low-profile style. I'm going to disassemble and reassemble and see what happens.

I unmounted and remounted the handguard. I had to completely close "the gap" (and the instructions say not to) to eliminate the movement but the rail is now tight. I am using the provided Troy barrel nut.
