As someone still waiting for my M&P 15-22 in the UK.
My question is how many have not had any problems since buying this gun, everywhere i look on the net from youtube to forums its only talking about the Ejector pins flying out OOB or sending back to S&W for repair.

Its got my wondering if ive made the right choice, even though mine on order is the newer style threaded barrel version

lets here some good positive storys about the M&P 15-22 for a change maybe these problems have been blown way out of proportion.

At least i hope thats the case :D

interesting but still not a definitive answer to people that have had no serious problems at all since owning the gun

69.82% no problems at all

That's pretty good to me and most of the problems were with early production runs. My DUU**** has ran perfect out of the box and shoots reliably with a wide variety of ammo. I love it so much I've ordered the Performance Center model.
Hope yours runs well for you.

thats what i like to hear :D makes me feel more positive about it to hear good experiences

I have had mine for 2 months or so. hit around the 1000 round mark yesterday and have had not one single problem or issue. :)

My user problem

I got mine in January of this year (2011) the first time out I had a few fail to load. But it was my fault. Not loading each shell with rim in front of the previous. I am now up to about 2 or 3 thousand rounds and no problems with gun, ammo FTF will depend on what your shooting. Read manual on that and trust the part about no wildcat ammo. It is the worst.

I went out and put 400 rounds through my mine yesterday without a problem. DVA Serial

ACEZ...that's what I want to hear! I bought my DVA serial number back in December but haven't had a chance to go out yet. By the way, what ammo were you using?

Go buy one, if it messes up send it in and they will fix it and very quickly.

there seem to not be so many problems with the newer models of the guns, im just kind of angry that S&W decided to use customers as guinea pigs. I have been shooting 15 year old remington golden bullets through my sig 522 without a hiccup. I would expect more or better from my favorite gun company on this planet. the failure to have a recall on early S/N guns has really hurt my confidence.

over 30 percent of the people have had problems and thats acceptable? hmmm. my cousin got his back the other day and it shoots great now, but it shouldnt matter how you load your mags, how you hold your tongue, what ammo you use or whatever. its a tool made to be used for a purpose, if that tool cant accomplish its mission then its a worthless tool.

Mine has been perfect except for two weeks ago it would only fire every other round. The ones that did fire barely went bang. I switched to different ammo and it worked perfectly again. I was using Remington Thunderbolt ammo and it was junk. Federal bulk ammo works great.

I have had no problems with well over 2000 rounds. However, Remington subsonics will not cycle the action even using a suppressor.

the worst part is even the ones with the so called fixes appear to still go wrong at times even if it is less so than the older models.

Closing in on 20K rounds through the 15-22 and not one problem. I shoot the Federal bulk 550s.

I have a DUR serial, and have run probably 1K of CCI and Federal bulk through it. I've shot a few Remington but they are junk. I have not had one problem with the rifle. It has performed flawlessly for me, and certainly is the most fun of my rifles to shoot. I hope you have great luck with yours.
Just a byline. I hear so much good about the Federal bulk ammo I think they should start giving us free rounds for all the advertisement.
