the jamming issues with the M&P15-22?

From what I've read the jamming issues have been resolved with the blue springs. Is that right?

More importantly, are there still problems with ammo going off with the chamber not fully closed? I'm looking at buying one for my kids to shoot. I don't want to have to worry about their safety.

Thanks in advance for the replies.

I have the dvp serial # and the blue spring.. I have over 6000 rounds threw mine and have not had any malfuctions. there were 2 ammo related fte, and a duble feed with a fte, but thats the ammos fault... i was using winchester 555 box... I have put 5000 rounds of federal threw with no problems.

A couple years ago this Forum was flooded with reports of out of battery discharges. Very seldom see reports of OOB anymore. As always, wear eye protection.

i have had my mp22-15 for about a month now and have put about 1300 rounds through it and i have had 1 fail to fire. I have not had any other issues at all. All i have done to it was clean it when i got it and spray some CLP before each trip

I have a 1st generation I bought in December '09. It has been back to the factory once. Been shot alot without a hiccup, then a week ago it fired a out of battery. Actually , fired one round and fired the next before it was chambered; so it will be heading back for a new extractor and anything else they find wrong that can be fixed. I'm not real happy; a gun that costs this much should be problem free. I don't know exactly how may guns I've bought new , but I never had to send one back for a problem once, let alone twice.
