Not modern in the sense of a Ruger that can take "modern" level handloads that push the envelope on performance. But they have made some really nice guns in 45 Colt, and it is generally safe to say the modern ones can handle handloads equivalent to 45 ACP+P.
I only have one a 125th anniversary 25-3, but since it doesnt have any MIM parts or an internal lock it is not really modern. But somehow I manage to live with that:
It also has a deep rich bluing that is probably not EPA legal any more.
