Has S&W fixed the crappy strikers in the Sigma?

tnmarktx: IIRC, sometime back(several years), S&W had a minor problem with a run of bad strikers in it's SIGMA SW9/40VE series pistols. S&W will be happy to fix it, NP. I believe I heard that there was an engineering change to address the problem of the broken strikers, and it doesn't tend to show up much anymore. I cannot say it never shows up, because it does on rare occasions. Contrary to popular belief, even Glocks, on rare occassions, do the same. Trigger bar return springs for both Glock and S&W show a similiar occurance of failure. S&W even addressed the issue years ago w/ their felt spring damper that comes in the trigger return spring in all of their striker fired pistols. Hmmm. I say that...not sure of the SW99.
Anyway, S&W will do what you need to fix it. It won't take a Tech 2 minutes to replace the striker. If you can get them to send you a new one, you can even do it. It is very simple.
Don't loose faith, my Brother, that is one dang good pistol you own. They live on in the SD series, w/ a few engineering and cosmetic changes.
