Have no idea what happened-BUT I'LL TAKE IT

Hay guy.
might go out looking for egg corns or maybe do a Lotto ticket ??

Sometimes you are just standing in the right spot or passing by in the right time zone.

No major repairs to do..........
no clean up.........

Hay, go out and have a nice meal and celebrate !!

Again I have absolutely no explaination whatsoever about our good fortune ( it certainly wasn't me  that God smiled upon) as I really thought We were gonna take it this time around. There must be some deserving people around here that I am lucky to live close to

Matthew 5:45
for he maketh. his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

I like Lord Bowen's version:

The rain it raineth on the just
And also on the unjust fella.
But chiefly on the just because
The unjust steals the just's umbrella.

From what I read , New Orleans lost EIGHT incoming transmission lines which was pretty much all of them . They are screwed . It could get ugly after dark ..

Yup :(

"...Fully restoring power to virtually all of New Orleans and much of its surrounding suburbs could take days, or even weeks, after Hurricane Ida knocked all eight electric transmission lines feeding the city out of service, the utility company Entergy said. It warned that it could take several days just to assess the damage...."

Happy to hear all is well. You deserved some good luck after the **** you've had to put up with! Stay safe!

I have been drinking Laphroaig to keep Hurricanes at bay.
So far, it has not let me down!

73,
Rick, from NW Washington State

Well, if you're in NW WA, you're likely not far from me (just across the line in BC) so the risk of hurricanes is minimal at best.

But why take a chance?
What are the odds of two Laphroaig drinkers that close!! Y'all need to try Ardbeg. It might make you switch-although I really do like that old band-aid/iodine whiff from a fresh bottle of Laphroaig!:D Lets ya know what you are about to get into

Heh heh.... Here's ANOTHER Laphroaig drinker in Washington. Islay whisky rocks! Ardbeg, Lagavullin, Bowmore, Lagavullin - all great!

Caj: Glad you're OK. I have a cousin in Metairie. Talked with her before the storm hit and they were staying in place. I read the power is out in a big way. The aftermath is pretty ugly. No word from her yet.
