Have You Found Your Perfect Handgun?

I've tried the Shield 40, and Glock G27 which is 40 also.
Now I carry a CZ P-07 in 9mm.
I've decided that striker subs chambered in 40 aren't for me.
I like the DA/SA w/de-cocker in a compact size 9 a lot better.
It may not be perfect, but for me right now, its pretty dang close.

Here she is, Walther PPKS .22 rf. In a shoulder holster, she is comfortable to carry, don't even know she is there. Handy to get to and CCI Minemags are cheap. Average shooting 20 rounds a day. has been with me over 20 years.

The PPK is a great gun that is too often overlooked.
The polymer guns may weigh less but none can match it's track record.

My M36....accurate, powerful enough and easy to conceal.

Have to admit a close second is my 3" GP100 (sorry S&W)

....the 36 was my grandfather's and was the first handgun I ever shot. Still carry it a lot.

A much newer 442 is generally my EDC, but it's just a tool.

Perfect? Nope, but what I am usually carrying is a 36, 442 or a Sig 938.
The Ruger LCP is usually along for the ride, regardless.
Colder weather it could be a G19 or a Commander but I find them a little more cumbersome after the previous picks.

I don't know about "perfect", but my Citadel 3.5CS certainly meets my current needs. It:
  • is in an effective caliber, .45acp.
  • is abundantly accurate at typical engagement ranges.
  • reliable enough to trust my life to.
  • is short and thin enough to be comfortably carried in a tuckable IWB holster.
  • was very reasonably priced from a local big box chain.

Whichever gun I have holstered on the hip is the perfect carry. Right now it is a Uberti 51 Navy cartridge conversion around the house.

My usual OC is a Star Super A, or 4 inch GP100, but there are others depending on my mood.

the Springfield XD-E may be the one I have been waiting for. Will buy one as soon as available locally. I'm too old to wait for the bugs to be discovered and fixed.

I have an awful lot of handguns, but this is what I mostly carry:

A 340 PD, with a Galco horsehide pocket holster, and loaded with Speer 357 magnum short barrel 135 gr. Gold Dots.

I feel confident with it, and loaded in the holster, weight is just under 16 ounces. With me constantly, unless I feel like carrying something else just for variety.

Best Regards, Les

Not sure If I would call them my perfect carry pistols .. but the three I am very comfortable with and carry both IWB and OWB through out the year are the following in no particular order ..
