Hello to all.

I have had a few issues:

Sight#1: Tritium moving and damaging the white outline

Sight#2: White outline dissapperaing after a couple of hundred rounds.

Sight#3:Tritium and green outline fell out. ( The other day)

This has been going on over the last year. They were nice enough to replace the first 2 defective sites. Lets see what happends on the 3rd.

Looking to see if other people have had issues with Ameriglo Tritium front sites and what could be causing this?

Thanks

Cant say I have ever used Ameriglo. I have always put my trust in Trijicon and have yet to experience a single issue, with several sets of sights. You might wanna suck it up and try another brand such as Trijicon or Meprolite.

Oh man, I hope not. I have a brand new set (I-dot) from Christmas (still in packaging) I was gonna put on my Shield 40 once I run Speer Gold Dots through successfully.
Too late to return them?
I've never heard of these issues before.
So many people here recommended them to me.

Does it look like this???

Somewhat disappointing. I've got a set of i dot pros on order for another gun. I usually just get trijicon hd's, but I wanted to try a two dot setup.

At least you have some green left. Mine was ALL gone.

Ameriglo is sending me a new front site. KUDOS to them.

I need to contact them. That's an older picture. They look like a half moon right now, kind of interesting. I blame it on 357 Sig loads.

I had the orange insert come out and then chip on my Ameriglo SW-251.

I contacted Sharon at Ameriglo (email below). They informed me that they had a bad batch of glue/wax used to adhere the fluorescent insert to the metal sight. She had me mail in my bad front sight, sent me a new front sight along with a check to cover the shipping and re-install/gunsmith costs. My new sight is perfect with no issues. Glue/was problem has clearly been resolved.

I will buy Ameriglo again. They stand behind their product and handled the situation perfectly.

I have had mine for a year or more. I do remember that I too had part of the paint come off the front sight. I called Ameriglo and they promptly replaced the sight for me. It was attributed to bad paint or priming material. No problems since. I love the sights. They appear to be a good company that stands behind their products.
