Can anyone tell me if the 610 has the same head space as the 625 or is it different. The auto rim ctge has a .090 rim, would this be the same for the 10mm with a moon clip? THANX

"Headspace" or more properly casehead-to-recoil shield clearance in a revolver will be the same for a rimmed versus a rimless cartridge. It should be a nominal 0.006" to 0.008" between the casehead and recoil shield, measured using an automotive feeler gage.

You can measure this with cartridges or cases held in moonclips, but if you do not use moonclips, be aware that some models of M625 have been reported with chamber rims cut too deep to function properly without moonclips.

is 610 same as 625?

What I'm trying to find out is if the thickness the same. If you rechambered a 610 would you have to shave the rear of the cylinder? Are the clips the same thickness, and the rims, and extracter grooves?

Please tell me you're not going to rechamber a Model 610 to something else! Instead, sell the 610 to someone who can't find one, and then buy the gun you want.....

I think Fred's response was my first reaction too . . . Of all the calibers to rechamber, 10mm would be my last choice.

To answer your question, I had read that you could use 10mm moon clips to hold 45GAP in a 45 ACP. I didn't have any 45GAP last night, but the 10mm moon clips did appear to space correctly in a 45.
