Hearing Wednesday in Boston

Western MA is one of the blueist parts of the state. Frankly, there aren't many areas that aren't liberal. Hence people like me want out.

To paraphrase Zell Miller, "I didn't leave Massachusetts, Massachusetts left me."

You should probably explain why: the "Happy Valley" (a.k.a., the "Five College Area") and the Berkshires. :o

Otherwise, almost anywhere away from the larger cities you will start to find a reasonably sane population. But sane folks are outnumbered by at least 2:1. It's not a good situation and it's only getting worse. :(

I don't see how they're feasibly going to inspect everyone's firearms annually. And I'm sure that the good people of the Massachusetts State Police Crime Laboratory are currently laughing themselves silly at the logistics of photographing and test-firing every firearm sold in the state.
They are Democrats. They will create a whole new department of the State Government employing hundreds if not thousands of people who can't hold a real job. They will then assist those people in creating a UNION. They will then "negotiate" :D with the union to give those workers $30 an hour and full health care. They will probably get reelected. State taxes will increase for homeowners.

Anything come out of this yet?
When our corrupt state pols want to do something really fast (like give themselves a raise or pass a new tax), it can happen overnight. But in the case of the bi-annual gun hearings and all that legislation (literally dozens of bills), it could drag out for a while... so nothing big happening yet (not that they want us to know about anyway). :(

They can do like Mario's son did 5 years ago, call the legislators in at midnight on the weekend, dole out some taxpayer cash, and get them to pass the UNsafe Act, while everyone else was sleeping.
