Hellman's Mayonaise

It's my understanding that ketchup addicts/snobs prefer Heinz. The cult ketchup around Texas is Whataburger branded. The cult fast food joint sells their cult condiments in a partnership with HEB.

Red Gold is my favorite ketchup but I like it all. Duke's mayo is new in Louisville area but it is my favorite. Hellman's is a close second.

Don't use a lot of ketchup these days, but when I do buy some, it is usually store-brand. Just as good as Heinz, to my taste. Some years after the last Heinz died, his widow married a notorious ********* ******-looking bridgebuilder whose name I will not mention here, so Heinz anything is out of the question. However, based on my high opinion of Hellman's mayonnaise and Milton's recommendation, there's a good chance that my next bottle of ketchup (perhaps late 2019) will be Hellman's.

BTW, only marginally related to this thread, mostly by my post, have y'all heard of Irish Alzheimer's? That's where you forget everything but your grudges.

With either if you get enough to taste, you have used too much. We bought a bottle of catsup for a party and it was 2 1/2 years before we emptied it. Prefer bbq sauce in almost all aplications.

I find I don't use much ketchup (or is it catsup?) these days - I prefer mustard. There are a lot more interesting varieties too.

I usually just get the Heinz, didn't know Hellmans makes it too.

Funny thing happen to me,when I was younger I couldn't stand eating anything with mayonaise on it,it had to be salad dressing. Now I can't salad dressing, and I like eating sandwich's with Hellman's mayonaise.

I don't think I would call Whataburger a cult, but it is very popular in the locations where it operates, and justifiably so. I prefer Whataburger burgers and fries, but also occasionally eat at McDonalds and Jack-in-the-Box. I am surprised that McDonald's doesn't sell branded condiments. Probably not enough profit for them.

I like ketchup without High Fructose Corn Syrup added to it.
I read labels and avoid HFCS as much as I can.

I do buy Hellman's Mayonnaise.

I once visited a Whataburger and noticed that the ketchup was marked "Fancy." I called one of their employees over and said "This is fancy ketchup." "I really like the plain old REGULAR ketchup. Could I have some of that, please?"

- She actually went and looked for some, came back and apologized for not having any...

I'm too much of a cheapskate to buy Ketchup...and I don't use enough of it to warrant keeping a bottle in the fridge. My tactic is to stuff my pocketful of those ketchup packs whenever I'm in a fast food joint:o. Whatever brand they happen to have is fine by me. IMO it all tastes the same.

Every purse that Ruthie owns has a condiments pouch.

First straws, then the styrofoam clamshell food containers.......that will be the death knell of the food truck industry...... :D

I have just purchased my first Dukes mayo. I like it. As for ketchup, almost any brand will do.

My wife doctors up plain yellow mustard, with jalapenos, red bell pepper, sugar and other stuff. We make a double batch, then our Daughter makes the next batch. We share until time to make the next batch. It's good stuff.

Have a blessed day,

Leon
