BTW, nobody says "Cali" inside the state. It's just California, or abbreviate it in text/narrative as CA.

Kinda' like nobody calls San Francisco "Frisco", even if they dislike the place (lots of us do). If you live anywhere close to the SF Bay Area it's just SF, San Francisco, or "The City".
