Hi all -
After lurking in this forum for a while, I pulled the trigger and decided to register.
I have used and appreciated Smith and Wesson revolvers for basically my entire adult life (I still have a model 28-2 made circa 1973 that I purchased used from Yuma (AZ) Coin and Gun in 1988).
I do own a couple of autos including a model 4536 that I bought new.
My interest in historical S&W revolvers was kindled rather recently after seeing a pre model 10 at work (I work for a large auction house) that I thought might be more special than as described in the catalog. I bought for what I thought was a very good price, and my research indicates it is a 1942 made M&P that was sold to the Defense Supply Center.
I will post pictures once I get the factory letter from Mr. Jinks.
Anyway I look forward to becoming a productive member of this forum.
Thanks,
Charlie
