Hello everyone! I guess it's about time I joined, I bought my first S&W, a 6" Model 19, in 1976. Really love that gun. Years later I got a 2.5" Model 66. Then a few years ago bought an M&P-15 stripped lower receiver and topped it with a Daniel Defense upper and other good components. I call that one my Dan Wesson. :D And last month I finally broke down and got a 5906 from CDNN. I still have all of those S&Ws and all work well.

Anyway, I'm a Vietnam Vet and now a retired geek (IT/network administrator) living in Boise, ID. Married with no kids but our two dogs are like children.

Very nice site you have here and I'm sure I'll enjoy it. Thanks for having me!

Glad to have you on board. Idaho is a favorite state of mine, as I spent several summers in Challis; up on the Salmon River, worked in my aunt and uncles at night, and wandered the hills in the area, hunting for rattle snakes, skunks, magpies and various assorted other critters. I went through a lot of .22 shells up there, and enjoyed every one.
Lots of good people on this forum who will help you with anything you want to know.

Welcome from Texas Quentin. Great forum for all things S&W, have fun, learn lots, share what you know.

Do not know what your experience was coming home from SE Asia, so many that served faithfully were denied the honor they deserved. I hope yours was not the case.

Hello the camp and welcome to the forum from central Oklahoma. You'll find this particular forum to be a great place to learn, laugh, and relax. It's definitely a friendly forum, in every way. ...and thank you very much for your service!
