Hello. New member here from Tucson, Arizona. I've been a S&W collector for years. In fact, my first pistol purchased (as an adult) was a 686 6".

Well today I rejoined the ranks (after having no S&W revolvers) by purchasing two: 586 4" (no dash) and 19-5 4". Both were estate purchases, coming from a former police officer.

As you will see from the pics, these examples are pristine.

Honestly, I don't think he ever fired the 19-5; it's still wrapped and in the box.

I love these older examples; the bluing is absolutely gorgeous.

I'm looking forward to participating in this forum.

Welcome from Dewey AZ! Nice wheel guns. I like ones rough around the edges I can shoot and carry without worry. Compared to when I lived on the east coast, it seems S&W revolvers are hard to find around here!? Is that your experience also?

Yes and no... they come up if you still vigilant.

Welcome. I used to live in Tucson when I worked for the University of Arizona. Corner of Rogers and North Campbell, across from the agricultural research farm.

Let me start off by saying, I'm jealous those are two beautiful guns, and welcome from the white tail deer hunting capital of the world was central Illinois

Welcome! Those are some really nice acquisitions. I lived in Tucson for about three years. Until COVID. There are some great places to shoot down there. It’s easy to spend all day at a range even when the temperature hits 90 but no humidity.
