Hi, I've been a reader of this fine forum for a number of years, just as an observer more than anything else . I enjoy reading the threads and learning about these fine firearms.
I just made my first post over in the Model 28 thread. I seem to have run upon an early 70's issue of the Model 28-2.
I have owned several nice S&W pieces over the years, all have been great to care for and shoot. These days, I have 4 S&W, a J framed .22 masterpiece , the 1911, a Model 29 classic, and now the Model 28-2. I've previously had Models 10, 19, & 39.
I retired from Uncle Sam's Canoe Club after 23 years of duty in 1995, I served an interesting tour with the Navy Police while I was stationed at the NAS South Weymouth Mass. in the Early 80s among others during my Navy career. One of the best experiences I had while there was getting training and qualifying expert on the S&W Model 10 from the Police Chief of the Hingham Police Dept. at their indoor range while I served there in the surrounding Boston Area.
Today , I'm on the Redneck Rivera of Mississippi, chasing the occasional redfish, and drilling targets at the local range.
I continue to look forward to learning more in the forum, here.
