Help changing M-41 extractor spring

I've got a 1964 Model 41 with 5.5" heavy and 5" field barrels. I'd like to replace the extractor spring and while I'm at it, the firing spring as well.
I'm sure the key to this is removing the "bolt pin" but I've tried tapping it fairly hard with a punch (from left to right...right?) and it doesn't budge. I don't want to force it and break or bend something. Any thoughts or info. for me?

Try a little harder. You are going in the correct direction. When out, the fireing pin and spring will come out (note orentation of the pin). Then slide the bolt forward to remove extractor parts. CLEAN all nooks and crannies. Inspect the extractor.
Model 41 maintenance is a great guide.

Thanks much for the info. - the site was great!
I did well until I put the bolt pin back in. Had to make sure several times the bolt was in the right position (It was). But still...had to whack the pin so had I was very seriously think I was going to bend it.
It finally "went" though!
My whole deal was refurbishing the gun to function with std. vel. ammo. In the past CCI std. and/or "pistol match" stuff has been a "5 rd. in the mag deal", otherwise it was single-shot for the first 5 rounds.
I got a Wolf recalibration pack and from testing found that she works great with the 6 lb. spring and std. vel. ammo.
