Sadly I lost all my SW data collected through the years, wondering if anyone may have a link to a thread from several years ago?
While my memory ain't so great anymore it was a thread discussing firearm metallurgy.
The interesting part was that IIRC a member had sent a friend or relative a 50's era SW .357 for analysis.
The member posted a detailed letter with some very interesting results and comparisons, I vaguely remember it said that they could not produce that metal here anymore, it also compared M14 receiver strength to the FN FAL and may have mentioned M60 receivers.
It might have also discussed Stainless steel issues like galling.
Anyway it was a great letter if anyone has a link to that old thread or a copy of that letter would appreciate posting it here or pm or emailing me a copy..
