Hi 3rd gen fans I have a 4506 no dash and need a new barrel I tried midwayusa, the only ones I found that carried it and twice they sent me the 4506-1 barrel so I gave up on them, please can anyone tell me where I might find the right barrel for my gun.

Well sir it depends on the width of the barrel hood. Barrels for the older guns had a hood that measure 0.346 wide. These are not available anymore AFAIK except on the used market, You might try Jack First gun parts. The newer gun barrels had a hood that's 0.486 wide.

BTW if you don't mind me asking, whats wrong with the barrel you have?

I suspect your gun needs the narrow hood. You can either scour the use parts market and try to find one or take a -1 barrel and have a smith competant with 3rd gens fit the hood. Lastly Novak's shop still shows they can supply & fit a match barrel for 3rd gens on their website. Good Luck

Cheers

Barrel

Well the barrel I have in it now seems to be wearing on the lower frame causing burs, so I compared it to another 4506 no dash and the underside of the ramp was quite a bit different and to no surprise that's where the wear marks were lineing up ill see if I can post a couple pictures of the barrels side by side to give you a better idea of what I'm talking about. Thank you for help and ill check out those sites see if I have any luck.

Go to Numrich web site is gunpartscorp.com they can get them just out of stock at moment give them a call and they will help on phone

Received my 4506 narrow hood (.346) with slot behind feed ramp from paulj84003 today it is a perfect replacement/fit for my original. If you need one of these narrow hooded barrels with or without the slot I recommend that you contact Paul right away (early bird gets the worm).

I know it is a year later but if you still have any narrow hood barrels I'll take one!

I will take one as well. Just not sure if I need the slotted or unslotted.
