Has anyone here tried to make one fail? I don't know but Michael Bane { Professional shooter and Producer/Host of the Shooting Gallery TV show} had one fail on camera while shooting a episode of the show. Up until then Smith & Wesson always denied any problems with the locks, since then they have produce several J frames without the IL. J frames by the way seem to be the most suceptible to lock failure. Personally I find this very interesting since threats of lawsuits by the Clinton Whitehouse are what predicated the inception of the lock in the first place. Perhaps the possibility of a widow on the stand explaining how her now dead husband tried to defend them against the 2 methheads but the gun wouldn't fire after the first shot because it locked up has someone rethinking thier decision? Maybe Just my 2 cents
