I don't know a whole lot about smiths but just bought one reasonably priced but can't figure out what I bought! 4 inch barrel with fixed sights is marked 45 Cal Model 1950 which is what I thought I was buying. 45 ACP cylinder but here is where I get lost. Barrel is not pinned and it has a four screw side plate but there is no screw in front of the trigger guard. Frame behind cylinder is marked TRR 2251 and under that is 22-4. on the cylinder arm is marked 815. On the bottom of the grip frame is the same TRR 2251 and under the grips on the lower right side of the frame is the same 815 then below that a five digit number which is the serial? 297xx. Is this a put together of some kind? Thanks for any info.

You have the Thunder Ranch Reintroduction model 22-4, hence "TRR", that came out in 2005. The original 1950 Army model 22 was discontinued in 1966.

They brought back the fourth sideplate screw to look more like a real 1950 but did not bring back the cylinder stop screw.

TRR2251 is the legal serial number, the 815 is a fitting number to keep yoke and frame together in the plant. I don't know what the 297xx is for.
