Help ID this bird

On the canal boat dock near Orange Beach AL,
I have been on the Gulf Coast and I have never seen anything like it.

Immature black crowned night heron. Possible yellow crowned, not sure which but definitely a night heron. They are rather tame.

They are nouctural so not commonly seen. Somthing probably spooked this juvenile from it's roost.
