Help identify Randall knife sheath

I picked this up at the flea market today and cant find anything to compare it to.Stamp on the back reads H. H. HEISER MAKER DENVER COLO. I think it is the # 8 stamped above the makers mark. If you can help with model / age / value it would be appreciated.

The 8 represents an 8" blade. I don't know for sure which model it would be for but probably a model 1 or 2. The article posted by Onomea should help date it.

Looks like a model 2 to me.
