Just got back from the FFL/Range doing a PPT (Private Party Transfer) Californias version of what most of the rest of the US calls a FTF transaction. It is done FTF with a FFL involved. I recently bought a 625JM revolver to try in IDPA when I need a break from CDP. Anyway, I had also been considering a 610, but the 625 just happened quicker. I shot the 625 in our clubs classifier two days after I got it, then sent it out for an action job. It is now on its way back from the gunsmith all smoothed out with a 7 lb pull. I happened to make an innocent comment on a Calif gun board about a 610 that someone was selling, saying "I would buy that if I had just not bought the 625, and if it didn't have the lock." A few days later, someone offered to sell me a no lock very clean 6-1/2" 610 with a very low round count. Long story short, I now have a 610-1 to add to the growing revolver pile. I know I cant use it in IDPA, but our pistol club holds USPSA matches as well. I managed to go through 41 years of shooting without hardly ever firing one, and now I have two... in the span of 3 months.
