Please forgive me, but my problem is strange/stupid enough to preclude me from even knowing where to start looking within the forum for a solution - so I am directly here.
I was at a friends today assisting him is solving a reload problem. I had my full size M&P40 stripped so I could determine if his rounds would fit my barrel. We solved his problem and I reassembled my pistol. When I racked and released the slide I heard a strange noise - I looked and the barrel locking lugs were sticking out the ejection port. I "know"
I wouldn't do something as stupid as assemble the gun with the barrel upside down, but that's how it is.
I can lock back the slide, get the take down lever into the disassembly position, release the slide, pull the trigger (it of course didn't reset) and get the slide to go to about the battery position. It won't go any further. Any suggestions??
Thanks - Ron
