Help w/ a movie name (WWII sniper)

You might want to check out the German film "Stalingrad". Sure it will kill your will to live, particularly the end where the last two guys slowly freeze to death in real time, but the fighting scenes - particularly the tractor factory - are probably the most brutal and realistic WW2 scenes to ever be put on film.

Best character of the movie is Ron Pearlmans. When he describes his interrogation by the secret police, "I didnt see a sickle but there sure was a hammer."

She WAS nice to look at,though!

Ah, yes! Rachel Weitz! Actually her part added to the movie because it was true Russia had many women snipers. I believe I heard on the History channel some 500 were killed in action against the Germans. So they played kissy face and humpy-te-hump, at least it wasn't a guy, a trend that is disturbing this ole Marine lately.

I saw the movie last night.

I LIKED IT and the wife did too.

If I had to pick my favorite part, it was the big guy sniper who had just shot the enemy in the head and not a second later said, I'm hungry and wanted some soup. That was great.

The only part that had me going was the kid Sacha. I really thought he was a traitor being paid off with food and chocolate.

overall, I give it a thumbs up.

The "big guy"....you mean Hellboy LOL!

Great movie, save the historical inaccuracies.

Call of Duty II also has some very Enemy at the Gates type scenes as well.
