Help with date or 17-6 and 617

I picked up a couple 22 smiths. One is a 17-6 and the other is a 617 I was wondering if you guys could give me manufacture dates?
17-6 Serial # BDT7155
617 Serial # BRF8511

According to the BOOK, the 17-6 is from the spring of 1989, while the 617 is from 1994.

Sounds like you got yourself a couple of pretty nice revolvers. Usually by this time someone has posted something like "we like pictures here" or "without pictures it didn't happen", etc....
