Hey guys, I'm having trouble finding the M&P 9mm 17+1, No Thumb Safety, with Mag Safety SKU number off of S&W's website.

Does anybody know which SKU it is so I can start looking for it to purchase?

Thanks guys!!!

Please forgive me if I'm just having brain farts and cannot find it.

Try 209301 which is on my M&P9 Full Size whoops mine does not have a mag safety my M&P40c does but my box is old and I can not read the SKU on it sorry for a bad response!

SW Catalog shows 209001 for the M&P 9 w/mag safety & internal lock and NO thumb safety. Also shows it is 17+1 and MD compliant

I know how you feel. Part of our tax return is going to carry guns for my wife and I. Too many choices though!!! Too much good stuff out there.

I agree, it is nice to see so many of the Mfg's makeing such reliable guns at all price points.

Nice to have a bunch to choose from but the thing I keep coming back to is this. I have heard/read that if you ever have to pull and fire your ccw it may/may not get appropriated by the police and you may/may not ever get it back. With that in mind, does it make sense to carry a $700-$1000 gun or are you better off with a $300-$500 gun? Again, knowing that there is a bunch of good reliable stuff out there.

Apologizies if this is getting off-track in this forum instead of the CCW forum

I guess thats what I'm saying, in the 3 to 5 hundred range there are alot of nice, reliable weapons out there today. My latest is an M&P 40 and I and realy inspressed with features and fit and finish for the money. And the accuracy is great as well.

Carry what you want to. I used to be concerned about that, but statistically you have a greater chance of winning the lottery than having to actually fire your weapon in self defense. Most encounters with criminals end with the perp running back to the TV dinner he left in the microwave once the "victim" clears holster.

If the lead flies its better to have a gun you can confidently shoot , as once the casings fall and the lawyers get involved you will stand to lose a lot more property than just your carry piece. Given legal costs these days you'll end up hocking the $1000+ gun anyway when you sell it to pay the legal fees from the shooting, so you may as well carry it and get your money's worth.

Yea I totally agree, it was a tough decision but I've been reading nothing but good reviews on the m&p firearms, and super impressed by S&W's superior CS!!!!

This will be my first handgun, and it's perfect for my budget. I'm also a huge Sig fan, but I hear nothing but bad things about their CS. One of my next guns will be a 226. But I believe my next handgun will be a m&p .45c followed by a carry permit ;)

I really like the M&P 40. I've shot the 40c and liked it a lot so i put a full-size 40 pro series on lay-away. Will get that next month. It's a nice problem to have isn't it, having too many good choices that is......
