I don't have a photo or serial number of this " model 27" non registered 5'' bbl 357. I have only seen a couple of photos and they show 2 screws on the left side of the frame. I have never seen those 2 screws on the left side...any ideas? Thanks for any information you can give with this marginal description.

Are you referring to a recessed stud just under the cylinder release and a smaller stud just to the left of the top of the left grip panel? If so, those are for the hammer stud and the rebound slide stud. On pre-World War II guns, those were screwed into the frame.

No, I figured it out. it was a mirror image of the right side of the frame. The writing in the logo and stamping in front of the trigger was backwards. Sorry I didn't catch that sooner.

I don't know the situation, but "Non-Registered" and "Model 27 " are inconsistent nomenclature terms. Non-Registered normally refers to those .357 Magnums made immediately before WWII, while Model 27s did not exist until the late 1950s.
