I purchased a set of K frame round butt walnut grips which appear to be genuine. The inside of the right panel has number 219078 penciled on it.

What about the screw? I haven't seen any S&W grip screw that looks like that. Any suggestions?

They are from the early half of the 1910 decade, and the original screw and escutcheons have been replaced. Still a pretty nice set for a vintage RB .38 M & P.

What do you figure they're worth???

Snake: I dunno. Bought them from e-gunparts several years ago and can't remember what I paid. I do remember being stunned by their condition when they arrived. They were much too nice to put on my ragged 1905 1st, so I just put them away.

I suspect Numrich and others will have the original parts; I doubt they have changed much in the past 114 years!
