Help with Model 57 value

That is easily a $1200 gun on GunBroker, and could be a $1400 - $1500 gun.

As beautiful as it is, I think you are wise to sell it off to someone that will appreciate. If you used the money for something you really wanted, your dad would understand.

Trust me. I inherited a Ton of Neat Antiques from my dad. I sold most of them, kept what I really liked, and used the money as a Down Payment for my house where I live right now.

I inherited several guns from my Dad. I quickly snagged a few of the sentimental pieces for my Mom and myself. Then, I gave my brother-in-law his pick of the remaining guns. This is because my sister knows nothing of guns. Other than the few that I snagged for my Mom and me, everything was for sale or trade. Several years ago, when he asked me if I still had a Glock that he'd given me, I realized that I didn't have to stay attached to all of them. Once I decide on a fair asking price I'll start putting feelers out for the right buyer.

That Gunbroker revolver is nice, but I think the OP's package is worth a few hundred more given the Cokes.

I went to look at the gun again but apparently it had been right at the 90 day mark and has dropped off the completed auction file...but I thought that grips that were on the sold gun were Cokes...

You see you have a couple options here. The gun, without the Cokes on it, would probably go for 650 to 750 in a day or two here on the Forum. The Cokes by themselves are easily worth 5 bills. Put them both together and you have a package worth 1150 to 1250 easily.

Nice gun by the way. You really ought to give the 41 a try though, it's a fine round.

Proper side plate screw has been installed…
