Help with this antique! What model is this?

I'm new in this forum! I don't know how to post images, so I hope you can see the picture. This gun is in a Mexico City museum, and the information there says only that it is a .38 S&W gun. Can you help me to find what model or year of fabrication is? Thank you and congratulations! This forum is great!

There is a 38s&w caliber. The gun itself may be a different manufacturer that is chambered in the 38s&w caliber.

I believe it was found on the Bridge of the Titanic; right next to the Captain.....the Gun actually faired better than the old Sailor, who is now nicknamed 'Barnacle Bill'

The Gun was made by Ivor Finishprublem & Co. in 1893 and resale prospects aren't good....

I have heard of the term "my trusty revolver" however this one needs a new phrase, perhaps "my rusty revolver".

Not sure what revolver that is but it appears to have a Kentucky Fried Chicken finish in extra crispy.
